Aviation Physical-Disqualified for drug use?

I know allot of you have been knocking out your physicals and what not while you prepare to go to Boost/NSI, so you may be familiar with the "Continuation of SF 93: Special - Aviation Applicant" form, which is part of the physical. One of the questions on the form is about drug use. Does anyone know if this is a disqualifier? I have a waiver for using marijuana 1X. It hasn't held me back from getting a clearance. What about a commission?

If, in your situation, you are still eligible for a clearance, I wouldn't worry about the commission.

What clearance? TS SCI? It might very well dq you from higher clearance or a commission. It is probably going to be circumstantial.
 
It shouldn't be a problem if you used it 2-3 times or less. I don't think they mind experimental use when you were relatively young and stupid. That's what I was told, anyway.

I can't imagine they'd defer someone from a commission JUST for that. Maybe with other things it would add up, but I highly doubt that's a deal breaker.
 
Marijuana waivered for more than one time here. I'm an ENS and SNA. I'm NOT the only one on this site either.

BE HONEST. It's not a big deal, certainly not for ONE time.
 
Unless you're a recovering addict you should be just fine...I smoked marijuana a few times in college before enlisting and it didn't stop me at MEPS or during my screening for Pilot! I have carried a Secret clearance as an AEGIS tech for 6 years now with no problems either...
 
I had a drug waiver on my initial enlistment and so the flight surgeon put something to that effect in the comments section. If you check anything on those med forms that is abnormal they just have to give an explanation on the form. Just be truthful and as long as you havent' had drug use during your enlistment than you should be fine. Although I know of one individual who had a moment of remorse about getting high on active duty decided to come clean. Dropped from nuke program due to integrity but went to a minesweeper and ended up eventually getting a comission.

I think it's fine here. It is definitely one of those cross forum topics. In this case it is more administrative rather than dealing with a specific medical condition.
