Anyone here currently with any of the VP squadrons or HSL-37 out in kaneohe? I'm a 2/C mid studying political science at Notre Dame and just got approved to get funded through ND to go out there in mid-December to do 'research' for a project on ASW's role in US foreign policy. My LT here has been in contact with the PAO over at -37 and they are fine with me coming to hang out in the wardroom to interview some officers (and, ideally, get some flight time if there is an opportunity which would be amazing) but have yet to hear back from any of the VP squadrons. Any tips of advice or suggestions on where to stay on base (are the cabanas any good? They're dirt cheap) or where good drinks can be imbibed? Thanks!!
