Are you using AI - and how?

We are aggressively told to use GenAI every second we are logged in to any NMCI computers. We do not use public use AI, such as ChatGPT. Now is GenAI safe? Who knows? I just work here

This actually grinds my gears.

CNO put out an initiative to make better use of AI, and so everyone is suddenly full tilt into "did you use AI to ____?" The part that aggravates me is that this is the digital, modern version of someone saying "I finished a clean and inspect on that electrical panel" to which leaders respond "that's great, but did you use a hammer? Hammers are awesome, you should use a hammer next time."

Completely clueless and tone deaf.

Interesting correlation, I know very little about most things. But yeah I would love to meet the guy.

We must live in very different Navys. I've never once heard anyone talk about this. We did laugh a little bit out of confusion when NMCI made you agree to some nonsense disclaimer when they installed whatever AI garbage they contracted out. I don't even know what it's called, much less how to open it. But I agree with your sentiments, and if someone told me what they have told you, I'd laugh in their face and tell them to get fucked.

I also have not used NMCI's version of AI... however, I may have taken Winston's advice when someone asks me if I used AI...
