Congrats to those who got selected! To those that didn't, try again! The CEC has a much higher age limit than URL communities.

not sure if the CEC is still doing this but the accessions officers would send info to the NRD's (OR's) on candidates they thought should apply again, it was usually only a handful and no guarantee for selection next time, but not getting that "note" meant you could try again but you weren't going to get picked.
Interesting. I wonder what happened if you applied a second time after the first accessions officer rotated out and that officer gave you the nod? NavyOffRec, you are full of really neat information!

What the accessions officers said that I worked with was that it was a consensus that was arrived at by the board, I will mention this only happened once in a while, often when billets were lower than what they thought they would have.
An interesting thing is when they did CEC trips they would do all the interviews, on a few occasions they would pull me aside to ask "what was up" with a few candidates, some were really pieces of work.
I had a person that was not picked up and asked the accessions officer what happened, I was told the interview scores weren't good enough, he had interviewed with all three accessions officers on a trip and two gave him 10's and one gave him a 9, the little secret was that they would only accept those who scored all 10's, the current makeup of accessions officer may have a different view.
Congrats to all who were selected. It was a journey going through the process of getting the package ready for submittal, definitely a great learning experience. I have great respect for all the candidates who went through the aches and pain in getting selected to OCS. I wish everyone here on AW the best and thank everyone who contribute to this site, giving great information and advice to those wishing to become Naval Officers. It's on with Plan B with me: Finish graduate school, prepare for the PE exam, and hopefully make Chief. Once again, thank you AW and I wish everyone the best.

They do from time to time. They even conditionally PROREC individuals who have to get their EIT or PE in order to get a FINSEL.

That was another one with the ones I worked with no EIT = no selection, one person actually told an accessions officer "no one told me when the test was"
