Sure... It's a blast now that there's no obstacle course or survival training.

I guess next they'll take out Engines and Navigation. Might as well lose the PRT too... [:p]

Please. :)
The Green party is the latest American (actually worldwide) incarnation of the Communist Party.

I read a bumper sticker somewhere that said:

"If we're not supposed to eat animals, then why did GOD make them out of meat???"

Thats not all the Green party is about, but I thought it would "some-what" pertain to their "ideas".

They got rid of it in 1997? I think. Too many people getting hurt. I think they also got rid of the doing the x-country course for the test in pfa.

When does the actual flight lessons start? Is it at API? If so, does your first flight lessons start in the T-34? If you're SNFO do you still learn to fly the basics? Thanks.

You start flying in your 4th week of Primary. So, you have 6 weeks of API, however long the pool is in-between API and Primary, then 3 weeks of ground school at primary. API is an abreviation for Aviation Preflight Indoctrination. It's an introduction into Aerodynamics, Engines, Weather, Navigation, Flight Rules and Regs, and such. Yes, you start flying in the T-34. I think NFO's do the same Primary training as the SNA's, but correct me if I'm wrong. The only difference is they do their training at NAS Pensacola (Sherman Field) where as the SNA's do their's at Whiting Field, or Corpus Christi, TX.

As an AF dude, I've already done more obsticle courses than I care to count. Sure, they're fun. Its nice to go run around in the mud some, but I'd rather spend a day running through T-34 Emergency proceedures. As for no more survival...well....at least the blue-suiters will do it. We go through survival up at Fairchild.
