Any need for a laptop in class?

I am heading to API in April and wanted to know if there is any need for a laptop to take to class in API/Primary/Advanced? I have a good desktop at home, but is there any reason to have a portable one?

(tried a search for this ?, but I didn't find anything addressing directly)

highlitghter and the book is all you need....
If you want to be real high speed, you could bring a pencil to takes notes in the book, but all you really need is the highlighter

also, no-doze, or something like that. maybe redbull or lots of coffee/mountain dew. If you do not show up prepared with these tools you will surely flunk out!
