I've noticed Verizon doesn't have a tower close to New River, hence the continuous "Extended Network". The company said they are planning to put a tower in this area sometime this year but it could be propaganda that I'm hearing. Anyone else having cell problems with Verizon in this area?

Any other cell companies that have good service in this area?

Here's something useful for you (I was a Verizon employee). WWW.VERIZONWIRLESS.COM

Go to the magnified coverage map, and that will give you a detailed outline of local coverage. If that doesn't make you confident enough, call a verizon dealer close to the location of the area in question. Tell them you ALREADY are a verizon customer and are curious about coverage in the given area. They will give you a straight up answer.

Also, while you are at it, develop a sense of humor.

Back home up in NY, we kind of have a similer problem with Verizon. I live in a small town and we just got a cell phone tower (finally) over a year ago. Unfortunatly, every company hooked up to the tower immedietly, except Verizon. They keep telling us they're going to hook up to it soon, but they've also been saying that from the get go. I can hardly use my phone when I go home, so my guess is it's all propaganda, Verizon sucks.
