No.. I got selected for Supply so I haven’t even bothered with AMDO.
Congrats btw! Honestly I feel like AMDO is just a Suppo with a more technical twist given to it considering you more strictly lean into the NAMP. You get more varied opportunities and you can always go back to the boat working with aviation so 🤷‍♂️

Yeah SuppO is a broader field and provides great opportunities in and out of the navy. AMDO is geared strictly to the aviation side of everything, they end doing similar jobs though and become an acquisition expert as well.

I ended up getting a non-select with a TIS waiver for 8 years 4 months. I got a 49 on my OAR and a 3.95 GPA in Business Admin.
Anyone got any tips for strengthening my package? Currently looking to add 2 more appraisals and 2 more LOR’s.

Been following this thread since it was made. Was notified this week that I was selected for AMDO from the APR 2025 board. I am currently enlisted with 10 years 9 months TIS and will be going to OCS in October this year. Congrats to all that made it!
This is great to hear! I've been worried how my TIS would affect the application. I am a civilian but served 9 years and 2 months active duty (ATO). At this point, just waiting to get security clearance.

I've heard that generally, once you get above the minimum OAR you should leave it alone as there will be many applicants with OAR waiver anyway. If you take again, you must be 100% sure you will score higher since they take the most recent one. How many LORs did you initially submit? I'm good friends with a career recruiter who mentioned that they typically don't want/need anymore than 4 LORs (quality over quantity). I can't speak much on appraisals though, no longer active duty. Good luck with the August board, I'm shooting for that as well.

If a person has an OAR that is qualifying just keep it as you want to avoid any waivers if possible. The reason for that is that those with waivers are accepted in limited numbers, so you end up essentially competing for a spot twice, once against everyone else that applied and then again against those who also have waivers.
