A couple hours ago, an Alaska Airlines MAX 9 returned to PDX for an emergency decompression. This plane is only 3 months old.

An Alaska Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport on Friday night after a large window section of the aircraft blew out in mid-air.

I probably would have had a heart attack and/or shit myself if I was in one of those seats. I always keep my seatbelt on when flying, mainly in case of sudden turbulence, now I have 2 reasons.

Not an emergency exit but a plug where a door would go. All max 9s and 900s have this feature.

I'd have to say that any remaining confidence the flying public had in the MAX went right out the door.
