After reading the article, it doesn't seem too far-fetched at all. Woman have participated in acts and getting emotional when their leaders say they never participated and they don't exist should strike a raw nerve.

The funny part is: if the women really wanted to blow themselves up, why haven't they just gone and done it (minus those who did). What, are they going to get in trouble or something?? Get reprimanded and not allowed to carry out another suicide attack??

What bothered me most about the article was about how their jihad is done in the home. It somewhat give me a clue of how many kids are growing up so utterly brainwashed and predisposed to having a JDAM land on their face as they fight for Allah. Adds another dynamic to the "women and children" thing -- if all they do is brainwash and pump out mini terrorists, I think they should get to meet some virgins too.

Good point, not much at all. Minus the "death to America" and "kill all the infidel" rhetoric and stuff like that. I know that's kind of similar to my religious brainwashing as a child which was "be nice to people" and "don't pick on Sally for being a little overweight." This childhood-indoctrination is into a world that vehemently opposes any concept other than Sharai law. The mother is claiming that she is raising her kids as a way of jihad for fuck's sake. In the US, mothers generally raise kids so they are nice, personable, well mannered, etc. This crazy Al Qaeda is using her influence as a mother as a weapon for Islam. She is literally breeding things that will blow up themselves or others. My religion class didn't teach me that...

Good point. This reminds me, I saw last week that it was the 100th anniversary of oil in the Mideast. I really cannot wait till demand or thier supply is suppressed so they are left roaming the deserts again. I was looking at the list of Nobel Laureates over the years and I will make a bold statement, their ingenuity isn't going to allow them to teach their one trick pony a new act.

You can't really generalize Islam based on the few fundamentalists that we see in the MSM on a regular basis. It is a religion of over a billion people, after all.

Just like it's not really fair to generalize Christianity based on some of the quirks of the various sects and the short-comings (to say the least) of a few priests/fringe groups.

Dealing in sheer absolutes isn't really the best way to mitigate the current intra- and more especially inter-religious tensions in the world, wouldn't you agree?
