So in the Navy then, if I'm 30 and I have an excellent application aside from my age, there is still no way to get acceptance with a flight guarantee?

No. The age waiver is just that. a WAIVER, meaning you have to apply for it. I know guys with prior service who got rejected for an age waiver.

If you are over the limit without prior service there is no way you will be accepted.
