Hey everyone, long time reader first time poster.
I had been looking around in the ARCO .pdf and the SNA age requirements caught my eye; "Must be between 19 and 27 years of age at the time of commissioning."
When exactly is the date of commission? Is it referring to the Navy Reserve commission you get at the end of API, or something else?
The reason I'm posting this here is that I'm planning on starting college come spring and am looking to enroll in NROTC, and I am trying to get a timeline of sorts worked out. The thing is, I'll be 21 in a month or so, so I want to make sure I won't be starting too late to be able to shoot for SNA. Four years, plus however much training time there is between graduation and commission. That's pretty much at least 25, which seems kind of close to the upper limit.
Anyone able to help me straighten this out? (thanks in advance)
