Age limit

I a 28 year old civilian computer programmer(college graduate). I spoke to a Navy recruiter that told me that I am too old to apply for a pilot position. Is that correct? Is there anything else I can do? Age waiver? How about the Marines?

My understanding is that you only qualify for an age waiver if you have prior military service.

There is a 32 year old Marine SNA out there, he got the waiver with no prior time. Not sure how, though.
