AFIT Gouge for IGEP

I just graduated from Purdue with an Aero Engineering degree and will be starting grad school at the Air Force Institute of Technology in August to work on my masters in aero engrineering.

I was wondering if anyone out there has gone through this program and might have some good gouge to pass on to a future student there??? Anything that you can share would be much appreciated!

I graduated from there in June 04. As far as for moving there, I would recommend living at Wexford on the Green and if you are single, getting a roommate. The complex is right on Beavercreek Golf Course which is probably the best course I have ever played on. A sponsor from the current class should contact you and help you get settled in. If you have any questions let me know. Its a great opportunity, school wasn't too hard (definitely easier than flight school) and Dayton is a pretty fun town!

And I think Johnny would agree with me. Definitely make an effort to be friends with your classmates. The Navy types that is. The class that Johnny and I were in... we were all very good friends and continue to be even 2 years after graduating. I imagine we will be for years to come. From what I've heard, the class after us had little or no chemistry, according to the O-3's that were there for TPS co-op after we left. Don't be like the air force. For the Navy guys there, you shoud definitely subscribe to the cooperate to graduate way of doing business. It's not a competition amongst you. I can honestly say that I doubt I would have made it through there without the help and comraderie of my Navy classmates. I would have a party for everyone within a week of everyone getting there. Then buckle down because although Johnny didn't think it was so hard, I thought it was much harder than flight school. But since you're an aero undergrad, you should do fine.
