Afadbd

I know that for active duty enlisted Armed Forces Active Duty Base Date is the time in service for moving up in rank. What does it impact for us officers? My AFADBD was moved back for service in training and in my reserve unit before commissioning. Picking up the next rank is only based on time in grade, correct?

Any info on the significance of it for officers would be great.

Time in grade is used for promotion, and time in service is used for pay. I'm in a similar situation, as my time in service date and my commissioning date are about 11 months apart.

Also aware of this, but my PEPD is may 04 and my afadbd is nov 05, and I am getting 2 year 2Lt pay. So where does the Nov 05 play in?
