I guess that you'd have to believe that Qatar is just some altruistic benefactor of the US govt, while ignoring any Trump Org real estate deals being worked right now with Qatar. And, his AG who was making pretty good bank as a registered agent of Qatar as her last job, saying sure all looks good.

The only body who can hold this shit to account is Congress...and we know how that will turn out with all those principled leaders up there.

The scale/scope of the corruption is astonishing. His crypto business is probably worse TBH.

It was the proposal for the transfer of the asset to the Presidential library afterwards that jumped out most to me though. Like I have no idea how that’s at all defensible, and why it’s at all even necessary to bring up now.

Yeah seems totally reasonable to convert this airplane sometime in the next 24-36 months, and then immediately remove it from service to go to his library. "I'm taking my ball and going home". What a fucking joke. All will be taxpayer money funded. Why replace the current AF1, flying for 35 years or so, with an airplane that can serve for more than a few months? Nah, that would be waste. The "demoncrats can buy their own AF1" Good thing we found the real waste in the federal government and fired it without cause.

I'm totally ignorant of this shit, but it's prob hard to take a basic 747-8 and rewire it and have it bristling with all the comm/defensive shit, right? My uninformed opinion would be it would not occur in his term, but like you said, best case scenario is a few months-to a year? Totally ridiculous. He seems to listen to that crackpot Loomer, so maybe he shuts it down, I dunno.

He does have a hard-on for changing the AF1 paint scheme...which is what I want my POTUS focused on. 🤷‍♂️
