Hello, It's been my dream since I was 3 and went to my first Fleet week, to pursue a career in Naval Aviation. I got off the track when I started High School and kind of forgot about it.
But I'm 19 now, in my first year in Junior college and I'm wondering if it's at all possible. Which isn't from self doubt so much as me not knowing much about what I need to do to get there. I understand it involves getting a comission, but with being enrolled in a Junior college, does that change anything?
Also I am curious about some of the medical requirements. I had surgery when I was an infant to attach my esophagus to my stomach, so I'm very curious about weither or not that would hurt my chances. It sounds like it would. Would it disquailify me from Naval service altogether?
Ideally I'd like to be a pilot. Jets, Helicopters, Props it's all an area of interest for me. Except, I have pretty terrible eyesight, I forgot what it is exactly, but I doubt it will pass for being a pilot. Are there seperate eyesight requirements for an NFO?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
