40% off from S&W M&P line

Tweaking off my coffee
Old LPO received this from a Marine friend of his and fwded to me a bit ago. Haven't had a chance to verify, but for thos interested I thought this would prove to be a freakin awesome deal.

Whoops, tried to attach the file (it is a scanned pdf of the form) but it is too big for the forum (4.42 mb). If anyone is interested, PM me and I will send it, for once my NMCI account likes me and will let me send an attachment that size.

ok, for the edit. I tried to call today, but no one picked up at the offices when I called (phone numbers retrieved from S&W website).
On another note though, the fax number on the form is the same fax number that is on their website. It's 413 731 8980, under their Military and Sales admin link.

Does this include the 1911? It is under their military and police section but not sure if it is part of the line.

Not really sure. I believe the form says from their M&P line. Will look at it tomorrow when I am in the office. I'll try to print and rescan the form, see if I can get it below the 2.2mb allowed. No luck from their offices, maybe their employees drink and shoot all day... ahhh, what a life!

The form says nothing about it being restricted to the M&P weapons only. It asks for the SKU and the MSRP, minus the 40%, for a total price.

Just talked to a local dealer here, and he'd never heard of the program (big surprise), but said they'd be happy to do the transfer if it is a real program.

Going to try to call S&W Monday too.

Found this little blurb on another forum, might be a good place to start.

Smith & Wesson is offering a 40% discount off the MSRP price for all of our revolvers, pistols and rifles for our active duty and retired servicemen. Attached you will find the Military Purchase form for your convenience.

Just got off the phone with Helene. The 40% off rebate form is no longer valid. It ended December 09 after it was posted on a military web page and, as she said "It exploded on us."

The new "discount", isn't much, but here it is:

www.smith-wesson.com/nationsfinest

compared to 40% off, it's not much.

Lame. Why give the discount if you didn't think anyone would take advantage of it?
