One of NYC's local FOX station news anchors is a former Harrier driver and a Lt. Col. in the Marine Corps Reserves. He and his team did a few short reports today from the deck of the USS Intrepid, which recently arrived in port after extensive renovations. The last vid is quite touching.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I don't think I've seen Shifty since he kicked off the Red-Stripe of '99. In the spirit of this most festive of days, I'll leave it at that.
Buick was lost on a night CCA behind the Nassau. He was in VMA-331 with Lawman, Smurph, Mystic (Fitz), and a whole host of other Harrier notables. Almost as tragically, VMA-331 lost Woody to enemy fire on the last day of the war.
