Also, don't just enlist as a "rescue swimmer" because not all rescue swimmers fly.
In any case I don't think enlisting as an AW will give you a good enough idea about being a pilot. At least not enough to justify going through NAC school, rescue swimmer school, and AW 'A' school. If being an officer is your goal I would recommend a commissioning program straight from the civilian world.
