With the anchor on the side? Geez I loved that gun, I was so sad to turn it in when I transferred. I’ll get my own eventually; currently have a 365 for cc.
I hike and do BJJ, and I’m restoring an old fiberglass camper. Hoping to have it done by spring!

My man! Love my P365, I have the NRA edition in coyote brown with night sights and a sick choco chip Vedder holster.

As far as hobbies go I hike, practice Muay Thai and play guitar (poorly).

Anyone else have a weird side hustle / hobby getting them through this stress?

I buy and resell guns ?
I’ve been teaching myself guitar since May. Picked it up so I could be more involved in our jam sessions after choir practice. Just started taking lessons about a month ago. I can’t believe I didn’t go to lessons sooner.
I deer hunt but I shot a 10 point so I’m done for the season. I’ve been running since July with a Pro triathlete for a coach. Hmmm what else? I work full time as a bank teller, and I read Catholic Theology when I can.

if I had more money I’d be decked out on guns. I’ve been wanting to do a MDT Chassis build for my Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. I also have a M1 Garand I would like to have completely restored. New stock, refinish all the metal and etc

Hate to change the topic but wanted to get some gouge on what people did differently in their study habits in preparation for taking the astb for their 2nd time. Planning for the worst and gonna take this time I have in my transfer leave before I head to the island to study for astb again. It doesn’t help that every pilot I’ve worked with told me not to retake it (minimum scores 41 4, 6, 6) but honestly can’t think any other way to strengthen the packet If not selected this go around. Any help is very much appreciated!
I studied over Christmas break between fully loaded engineering semesters. Had a whole month to study

Honestly, there are a couple options. For the stick portion, if you have access to it, I'd do flight sims, play your favorite call of duty or game with inverted controls etc. Start programming your brain for that. For knowledge portion, just study the material and familiarize yourself with it. I only studied three days before. My first attempt was to get an idea of what it was like and I didn't do half bad. 47 5/7/6. With the scores I have and extra stuff in my package it's competitive. Just keep adding things to your packet, certs, flight exp, etc. Always be learning.

Changing subject as soon as guns? Commiefornian confirmed.

Can you tell us more about how the ASTB went for you?

Did you miss anything on the UAV portion? I shamelessly used the paper trick here and despite AW advice I took my time and just made sure I didn't get any wrong.

Do you have any video game controller experience or flying games with Hands On Throttle And Stick controllers?

Careful on the refinishing of M1's and Garands if it is in good shape just take it to a local gunsmith that does deep cleaning. If you get it refinished the value goes down. Most people want everything original and numbers matching. Ultimately your choice but just my .02cents

I totally get the “everything original” attitude. I can tell stuff my Garand wasn’t original. I just like to get it cleaned up you know.

Agreed mostly. Garand's don't have matching numbers. The only serialized part is the receiver, all the small parts have drawing numbers that you can narrow down to a date range, and the barrel is dated. There is a whole other hobby of people finding date correct drawing numbers on parts to make "corrected" m1 rifles.
