Killer scores dude! What board are you going to be on?First Attempt: 60 7/5/6
Second Attempt: 58 9/9/9
How I studied:
- Go through all of the astb prep app
- Do matrix in gomez drive
- Do probability in gomez drive
- Go through the anit flash cards (The one on cram.com)
- Go through the gomez drive
- Practice pbm daily
One advice I really liked, idk where I read it from, is to not give up even when you think you’re doing bad. Your score is going to be higher than you expected if you don’t give up.
Triple 9s aren't enough?! Dang. Good luck to you, and no doubt you'll get it with those scores.Don’t know yet. Still have to submit. My recruiter told me the scores aren’t enough to resubmit a package after a pro rec no. So I’m gonna need to get a little more things.
Jesus christ from a an average score to a perfect score is crazy. I gotta hit the booksFirst Attempt: 60 7/5/6

Waivers are almost automatic from NRC, a waiver from NRC just lets you go to board then they let the board decide if they will accept the waiver or not. Those with waivers are accepted in limited numbers.Hope it is not a personal question but what skills/life experience did you have that helped you qualify for the waiver?
That's prob more clearance stuff, but it also depends on why you were fired too...Does the board review your employment history? I was fired from a job a couple of years ago and I’m wondering if that will be held against me.
I just called him again today and he said no news yet but he's feeling good about my resubmission because apparently the higher ups are specifically looking at my case since I got a Pro Rec No but wasn't even at board; the other guy he had WAS at board and got a No and his boss basically said they're not going to try for a resubmission since he was at board and got a No fair and square... (which means he's going to wait the 6 months or big change probably before he can resubmit, maybe May/June board). My recruiter's going to his quarterly meet with his commander so he'll find out more about my situation and recruiting for SNA in general. I'll see if he has any updates this week, he did say now that board is over its priority goes to the bottom until about a month before NRC deadline for the next one (March SNA board). In the meanwhile I'm just gonna take some classes and raise my GPA lol and work on the side and save up for my instrument rating later on.Did you ever hear back from your recruiter about if you were at the board?
Do they take into consideration/even look at the PRK waivers/post-op results? I think they just go to N3M right and the board don't really see it? Because I can get an updated one year post-op report by now lol if it is better than the 3-month oneWaivers are almost automatic from NRC, a waiver from NRC just lets you go to board then they let the board decide if they will accept the waiver or not. It isn't about skills or life experience unless it is a moral issue.
NRC only deals with waivers for non medical items. W's are generally when a person withdraws prior to the deadline so it should have no effect.Do they take into consideration/even look at the PRK waivers/post-op results? Edit: Also do W’s affect GPA or anything at all or are they just ignored and not counted?
I had a guy that was supposed to be at board but wasn't, somehow his info was not included, when I brought it up they fixed it by just giving him a Pro Rec N and said to resubmit for the next board.I just called him again today and he said no news yet but he's feeling good about my resubmission because apparently the higher ups are specifically looking at my case since I got a Pro Rec No but wasn't even at board; the other guy he had WAS at board and got a No and his boss basically said they're not going to try for a resubmission since he was at board and got a No fair and square... Got it thank you!NRC only deals with waivers for non medical items. W's are generally when a person withdraws prior to the deadline so it should have no effect.
That sounds like what happened with me then! Hopefully I’ll make it for resubmission to the March boardI had a guy that was supposed to be at board but wasn't, somehow his info was not included, when I brought it up they fixed it by just giving him a Pro Rec N and said to resubmit for the next board.
The board can see where you were employed, if they even care which unless you are going for reserves they don't.That's prob more clearance stuff, but it also depends on why you were fired too...
