just live your life normally until the navy comes calling. you don't wanna be that person that sits around waiting for results but doesn't have a backup

Absolutely, just with the way things worked out on my end the best option is to wait for board results and act accordingly. Which is why the waiting is a little annoying since I want to set up a solid plan for the future.
