15 SEP2025 SNA/SNFO BOARD

Anyone know of a good place to take some online courses? I’m sitting at a 3.0 undergrad GPA but figured I could use this time to take some self-paced classes and bump it up a little.
I took community college to boost my 2.92 cumulative to 3.02 when I was going for I Sel, no idea about online courses but if anyone knows any too I’d love to take some if I can have the transcripts by next board’s deadline haha

Also, @exNavyOffRec, do you think a slight GPA bump from 3.02 to, say, 3.10 would matter if my ASTB (58 8/8/7) remains unchanged? And would it be worth risking a retake to score higher than my current ASTB? Or would it not matter too much either way with my current stats, and I should just resubmit as is, as planned for the next board?

Idk man, Liberty University has some courses that are aviation related and pretty cake. If you can handle the religious aspect of everything, it’s a fine way to boost your gpa

@Low_GPA_High_AOA

Dude....you got the scores, you got the GPA. I bet $20 pay pal you selected in March.
Thank you 🙏, it’s just hard not to worry still, I think I’ll take some CC classes regardless to boost my gpa just a little if I’m able to get off their late start classes’ waitlist; couldn’t hurt. And I’ll see you on the March thread and we’ll make that one just as fun as this one!

If you can, DM me, I wanted to ask you about some ASTB stuff 🙃

Do you think I have hope lol? 😂

52 7 9 8
Combined GPA 2.65

Undergrad 2.47 quarter system converted to semester I think it is around 2.3 (math applied science)

Maters 3.7 (mechanical engineering)

Both degrees are completed
you have such high ASTB scores with a 9 PFAR, what's your combined Navy calculated GPA though? But regardless you should be picked up looking just at stats... just unfortunate that this board had such a small quota like that Oct 2022 board; the fact that the entire Northern California NRD had zero selected is wild.. There were definitely applicants with 9/9/9s high GPA and no waivers. And with the masters I think it nullifies the lower undergrad GPA completely

Edit: Avionx is right I think we'll be fine come next board if it even slightly resembles a normal one lol

According to my recruiter it was calculated as a 2.65 by the person who is in charge of that. Also, information varies a lot when it comes to the masters GPA so I just hope for the best when it comes to sending another package lol.

Don’t worry I feel the same and I’m sure quite a few of us are too, definitely the a bit lost and what now kind of feeling but I’m sure it’ll pass and we will keep at it, just don’t give up quite yet
I kinda have a rough plan worked out but it is the waiting that has me a little messed up. Like it is what it is but waiting till maybe mid time next year for SNA board to open up again sounds kinda wack. But I am willing to wait at the end of the day so I guess that is the important part.

2.65 after a 3.7 masters is criminal 😭 when they calculated mine they took my pass no pass COVID classes and gave me an F for all of them I think so my 3.167 or something became a 2.97 so I had to take CC classes to qualify for I Sel initially

Same here, I’m waiting and keep on applying until they tell me no SNA, then I go NFO, then if not SWO and go career; I just want to be a Navy sailor.
