15 SEP2025 SNA/SNFO BOARD

I guess retake it. Though I’m a little scared that there is something in my application that is a red flag. I will never find out what it is ofc cause they don’t tell you. I then ponder if they give applicants who are on there 2nd and 3rd try the benefit of the doubt. Which I actually think is really cool cause it shows grit and pursuit.

As for LOR’s, my recruiter also never said anything about it. I do still believe that the NRC is definitely not sitting there and reading them + personal statement to read as well.

Honestly I think with your score and GPA, I think it should have been at least 80/20 in your favor, especially if you're an SNA applicant. From what I've been told, they mostly care about your PFAR and GPA. The 9 and the 3.2 GPA should have been essentially a freebie. This previous board is quite surprising to say the least

You should see the results from the OCT22 board. The fact that anyone got selected on that one was amazing lol

My recruiter said he’ll just process my resubmission in-house for March and I basically don’t gotta do anything.. I have 58(?) 8/8/7 and 3.02 GPA. Though in my case he said it’s weird that I got a Pro Rec N but was apparently not even at-board so his boss’s boss is inquiring for my specific case to figure out what’s going on…

Edit: I was I Sel kickback to regular board same as Corvette due to experimental weed usage that didn’t incur a waiver but Corvette got picked up so I don’t think that that was the problem, I got no other waivers or issues otherwise, probably my GPA is too low haha

Sorry to hear that.. but yeah I’m set on the navy too regardless so I’ll keep on trying until they straight up tell me no lol, I guess March or whenever the next board actually happens will be my third time trying if I count the I Sel kickback

Does that mean I can submit whenever I have the documents in place? I'm assuming that those applications will still go through some type of board?

Hypothetically, yes. As long as you meet criteria it should be a rolling review that goes straight to the program manager.

Personal experience: I had my package submitted well before this board and still heard back with everyone else. YMMV.

Yeah I was debating on going for the March board or waiting for the May board just incase the March board is another killer so I don't have to wait 6 more months. But again waiting on my recruiter to tell me any of the next steps I need to do.

Did you get an official pro-rec N or were you not at board? I thought if you didn’t make it to the board you aren’t even considered for a Y or N?

I don’t know how true the 6 month wait is and what it’ll apply to… it seems that my recruiter isn’t too sure on that policy and just said he’ll process and resubmit my packet for March which isn’t really six months from now considering NRC deadline is around January 29
