I don't think so, you had to swear in prior to Nov 30th 2025 to be eligible.

My district would have them take leave if they were going outside of a certain radius.

Collegiates usually follow NTAG command leave policy that staff uses. Usually rule of thumb is leave required if collegiate is leaving CONUS and going overseas, but other NTAGs might have a more strict policy.

Good point, and sometimes things do get restrictive when something happens, when I arrived in recruiting there was a collegiate not from my district who had traveled to another state and passed away hiking or something like that, no one in the command knew where he was or what happened for weeks.
