$1000 Cadet Essay Contest...

Just wanted any cadets out there to know about a $1000 cadet essay contest that is coming up with a deadline of 15 October. Given by a small website (wantscheck.com) with exceptionally limited advertising so the chances of walking away with the loot are very good. You can read more about it at http://www.wantscheck.com/Default.aspx?tabid=243

Thanks!

I just skimmed the site and it seems very focused on AFROTC with little or nothing to do with NROTC... and while I admit I did not read closely, it looks like ten tons of BS.

But maybe someone out there wants to make a thousand bucks...

The essay is open to any NROTC or Naval Academy "cadets." I guess I should have said "midshipman."

The site, at this time, is very AFROTC oriented. The goal is to be a resource for all flyers, and potential flyers, in the military.

The essay is open to all cadets/midshipman, however, whether they want to fly or not.

Two weeks left!

There are only two weeks until the deadline and so far we've only recieved 3 essay submissions. I'm no stats guy, but those seem like really good odds of winning a thousand bucks.

$1000 Essay Contest

BUMP

It's time for the 2006 Essay Contest. Last year's contest only resulted in 20 essays turned in but the best one got the loot. If any midshipmen want a chance at $1000 this year, the essay topic concerns FLAG BURNING and is due by Oct 16th. You can find more info here http://www.wantscheck.com/More/CadetEssayContest/tabid/71/Default.aspx

And if anyone wants to help spread the word you can find a nice flyer on that webpage. You can also read the essay from last year's winner.

Bottom line. Poor advertising. Easy money.

I'm a guy. NoseArtGal refers to the logo of the website hosting the essay contest. I am married. I am an AF pilot and have been for ten years. The AU organization asked me to put up a website for them and I did - hence the service contact info. The essay deadline is the the 16th of Oct if anyone is interested in the reason for this thread.
