I doubt ill get selected with 5/7/5 (i've seeing worse but its good to keep my expectations low). I'll prob retake it or settle for NFO (arguably second-best gig in the Navy). If not i might retake it but im afraid to get worse numbers.

If you retake, study hard and don’t doubt yourself. Control what you can, and make the best of what you can’t.
 
Honestly my guess is that the fiscal year is ending so there’s very few slots open. My recruiter had already informed me a month ago about non aviation designators cancelling until May of next year.
 
@fighter-cat22 this is me speculating but I'd think BDCP is unaffected. If your recruiter sent in your packet at least it's submitted in case the board happens... mine wouldn't even schedule a last minute MEPS to send my packet in. So I'll just have my packet ready but sit around waiting for the boards/ISEL to open which is a bit annoying.

yeah a lot of rumors that keep beating around that bush imo so I agree. I’m in the Sept board so I hope there’s still a fair amount of spots in that one lol

I dont understand the fiscal year just started in OCT. what do you mean its just ending?

Officer recruiting doesn't work like that, they start filling the next FY spots in April +/- a month.

The board schedule that was posted a few weeks ago had boards still on the schedule, until the board schedule changes those are just rumors.

Yeah that sucks, I talked to my recruiter and he seemed to not be worried about BDCP/ISEL. Hopefully my packet doesn’t just collect dust, but there’s a chance it might.

There’s still no telling what’s gonna happen though, as far as I know, the schedule still says there’s a board in November. People can talk all they want, but nothing is concrete until big Navy actually decides.
