03 NOV 2025, SNA/SNFO BOARD

I recently got picked up for SNFO and I asked my recruiter for a copy of the BDCP contract before I go to my local NTAG to sign the contract. He said that there is personal information on it and that they are not allowed to send a copy to me and that I have to physically go in person and they will go over the contract with me. Something about this just doesnt sit right with me and it just gives me a bad feeling. I kind of feel like I am being rushed for no particular reason. What I dont understand is if having my information on it is truly such an issue why cant he just send me a blank copy without any of my information on it? I just feel like being able to go over the contract at home will take away the pressure of having the recruiters there breathing down my neck as im reading what I assume is a multiple page document. I also did some research and found the program authorization document for the BDCP program but I just want to make sure what I have to sign isnt different from what I found online. Does anyone perhaps have a blank copy of the SNFO or SNA BDCP contract they signed just so I can get an idea of what is in the contract?
Ask and see if they can send it via DOD SAFE. Fully encrypted file sharing serving for the USG that they will be able to do.

It’s PII bro. You’ll do enough training on it in the fleet and people still mess it up. Someone mentioned DOD SAFE already and that’s a good alternative but also depends if the recruiter wants to take the time to clear your stuff off it. If you’re really concerned about what you’re signing just take your time and read it. Ask questions if you’re unsure about something.

Playing devil's advocate, did your recruiter ever rush you with other things before? What exactly are you worried about? Why not are you feeling worried?

As mentioned above, the requested information likely already has your personal info (SSN, etc.), in addition probably post it notes/arrows to show the recruiter/you where to sign. So it makes it difficult to just scan/send all of that. With that said, your recruiter or processor can send a blank copy of the BDCP service agreement if it will help alleviate things.

Whenever you come in person and sign everything, you should be given a run down on what the form is where/what to fill and sign.

What concerns me is that his recruiter just said "no", didn't even think of alternative options when presented with a valid question. It is normal for a person to have questions when they are committing several years of their life. There are many alternatives he could have presented that would have taken the recruiter minutes to come up with a solution that would have satisfied the applicant and showed that the recruiter was keeping the applicants concerns in mind.

To be honest my recruiter has been extremely difficult to deal with. Every time I ask him a question he never answers me. Ive had a few times where he didnt inform me of an important piece of information and it made things especially difficult when I was working on my applications. When I first applied for the BDCP program I asked him how many designators I could apply for and he said I could apply for two. I decided I wanted to apply for Supply as well as SNFO as a backup. Supply was actually my first choice at the time. when I was sent the template I filled them out separately one for each designator and there was nothing on there regarding putting one designator over the other so I just went ahead and filled them out separately. I even wrote two separate 800 word essays for each application. When it was time to apply for the October Supply board it got cancelled so my new goal was to apply for the December 01 Supply board. When the results from the aviation board came back in late November, December 2nd for me as that’s when my recruiter finally decided to inform me I was selected, I asked him when the offer for SNFO expired so I could see if I would be selected for Supply. That’s when he told me that my supply packet had been thrown out because I was picked up for SNFO and that if I wanted to apply for supply I’d have to reapply for the February board. I was set at going Supply at the time and this threw me off a lot. He didn’t inform me that if I applied for SNFO my supply packet would have been thrown out once I was selected. As of right now I’ve accepted the NFO route and I believe it’s the right route for me. I no longer wish to go supply after giving it much thought these past few weeks. I just feel very uneasy right now and I’m scared that something else unexpected might come up. If I ever have questions ive resorted now to either looking it up online or asking this forum because I can never seem to get anywhere with him. I just want to make sure I know all of the facts moving forward.
