02 MARCH 2026, SNA/SNFO

Are you certain that won’t require a waiver? Otherwise that sucks - sounds like you’re falling faul of the navy cancelling its street boards so frequently!

Yup no waivers and confirmed with recruiter then found out the hard way they don’t care for I Sel even if no waiver. Someone else was in the same situation as me too. But yeah just unfortunate timing for sure

I didn’t retake the ASTB for the longest time because I had minimal weed usage and knew they wouldn’t take me even with ISEL scores.

Regarding your question about the March board, they did take some street apps because as one recruiter in my office told me, they have to “re-fill” OCS slots because people who were pro-rec y deny the offer for various reasons (sick, family, etc.). But hopefully we see good acceptance in June.

If only my recruiter knew/wasn’t on leave back then 😭 here’s to June hoping 🤞

It kind of seems like a lot of people got thrown into the FY27 bin on the spreadsheet. Whoever got that FY28, have fun waiting unless you are able to get a OCS date earlier than that. I am still in disbelief about yesterday

“Congrats on your selection, you are slated for 15 months from now, at the earliest”. FY28 is insane

There is no way that a large portion of this year's Navy Grads are all going SNA or SNFO. Maybe ROTC took in a few more than usual? Probably more than anything, it's a personal reason.
05-26 had a lot of pilots in their class, at lesst 80%. Same with mine, 07. 11 has a lot of aviators; 30+ NFOs, some SNAs, and a bunch of drone pilots. I think even 02 or 03 had quite a few pilots as well

The USN is very good and dividing equally 1/3, 1/3, and 1/3. The minor fluctuations are minor and would have minimal if any affect on OCS numbers.

The classes can have wild variation in their designators numbers, mainly with the larger designators, there have been classes heavy in SWO's, then heavy in Nukes, heavy in aviation, then there are ones that are pretty even for all designators. In the end the USN is allocated numbers for each designator to be sent to OCS for each FY, how they send them really doesn't matter.
