02 MARCH 2026, SNA/SNFO

My buddy was selected for Pilot and he was not an immediate select so board results may be coming out soon? Keep in mind we are both active duty so I’m not sure if that plays into notifications.

Heart dropped a bit and then remembered active duty is still selecting haha just no off the street SNA, but congrats to him!

Texted my recruiter. Street applicants should expect results by Early April
My recruiter told me my packet was reviewed at the board (assuming under ISEL) despite being a normal street to seat app. So we shall see…last time I wasn’t selected under the ISEL program hence had to submit to the normal board. Fingers crossed for all you bros regardless

Yeah, my fingers are crossed as well. I'm just surprised how quickly this month has flown by. It only felt like yesterday when I was stressing out over the board convening back at the beginning of the month

Just curious, do you know why you were declined for ISEL first go around?

I was with one of the recruiters in my office a few weeks ago and he told me people were still sent to the March board because sometimes people decline OCS spots for various reasons (don’t want it, injured, sick, family, etc.). So my guess is they’re trying to fill those “denied” spots

Variety of reasons. Two biggest ones are the applicant does not meet ISEL criteria or there is no need for ISEL when there's plenty of candidates.

ISEL wasn't meant to be what many think of it today. It was meant to give officer communities/CNRC a means to streamline qualified candidates by bypassing the OCS board process and issuing them OCS class dates - especially for programs that are in need of applicants. If a program, say Pilot, is filled with PROREC slots for the foreseeable future, it doesn't make sense to keep the ISEL process only to add to the backlog.

People assume ISEL = Guaranteed Selection and not so much on the "Immediate" part.
