01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

Inevitable sore throats from the cold are in my future. I survived Great Lakes in the winter, surely I can survive Newport.

Side note, can the Navy maybe get some training bases in warmer climates…?
All the aviation training is done around the Gulf coast, but that comes with its own problems

Corpus Christi is currently in a stage 3 drought and Milton/Pensacola have been getting slammed with summer storms

I was thinking of getting flight hours. I’m not sure what will help. I know people who got accepted with lower scores before this board.
Best bet is to keep studying for the ASTB and try for 7s or better across the board. I’d say don’t get more than a dozen flight hours. Just get familiar with how a plane feels and flies, and learn if it’s something you’d actually like to do as a career. As exNavyOffRec has said, flight time has no effect on selection.

I had a question. I’m not sure if somebody already asked it. How long after results do you go to swear in? 3-4 weeks? (Hoping sooner i need the bdcp🫩)
