01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

I’m hoping to find a “frat house” to rent with some friends in Pcola. Did it with buddies on the ship in San Diego and it was pretty fun. Split a 4 bed 3 bath & was very affordable when split
I've spent enough time in apartments, pretty much moving every summer, with that many people. I think 3 is the max for me. Otherwise I feel like you are juggling too many personalities and needs between each other and then it feels like you don't have as much privacy 😂

I honestly may be jaded about living with friends, but that is honestly probably just because I have had the experience of I think they're a good person, and then after living with them for a bit, they turn out to just be a massive bully.

Yeah very valid. Pensacola is cool though, & once that BAH kicks in the money is gooood. It’ll work out 🙏

You wanna know the best part? The one I had issues with was an ABM select in AFROTC. He was getting the POC scholarship and was terrible about paying me for utilities. He technically owes me around $250, and he had the gall to ask me CONSTANTLY how I had the money to pay for rent, etc. It's because I was using my CC and student loans dingus.

Can’t wait for that lol. Gotta get my memorizing skills ready
Anki is good for EPs and limits (I still use it in the FRS), but it's much better to just ask questions and have a deeper understanding of concepts that aren't totally rooted in numbers. Studying with others to fill in knowledge gaps is great too

A couple weeks ago the Air Boss came down to the museum here at Pcola and told everyone there are over 500 aviators too many in the program and he was looking for any excuse to attrite people. What that means for boards idk. Part of me thinks there are always “too many people” and they just say stuff like that to scare us. What is true though is that they’ve been making NIFE more and more strict.
Officers are by YG's, without more information on number per YG that info really isn't useful if it is even true.

Yup I’ve heard this. It’s also trickling into primary a bit, some students getting booted for reasons that usually warrant work-arounds or being put on hold. Might be coming from the top brass to cut numbers a bit. Not sure.

For all of you I really wouldn’t worry about it. Just focus on what’s next from here.

At least the uniform stipend DOES pay it back but I’ve heard not 100% & also it can be a couple months down the line?
I remember the allowance kicking in quickly. Also I highly recommend signing up for the military star credit card. It intimated a lot of people but to me was a clear hack: no annual fee and it gives you 10% off your first day’s purchases so that’s hundreds off on your uniforms since you buy them all at once. Then you pay the card off and never use it again. Or use it if you like it, whatever. Not sure why everyone didn’t sign up tbh.
