01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

Don't mean to drop a bombshell, but here it is. I have a buddy who's an SNA in Pensacola right now and he just texted me saying that aviation boards are closed and not selecting for spots right now. "Probably just delayed". Not sure if that is applicable to this board or the boards moving forward.

I don’t think fresh SNAs in Pensacola know anything about NRC & Navy needs…

Probably meant the boards before like the three that got canceled in a row, that was the not selecting and delays

seems pretty standard the last few years. It’s like a 2-3 year training pipeline before your 8 year commitment actually starts

I’m going to have to call this into question. Maybe it’s true but somebody other than an ensign without any affiliation to NRC would be saying it also. The fiscal year just opened.

In AFROTC, I called it CNN (Cadet News Network). The more things stay the same I guess

NRC isn't able to release results until the AW thread hits 85 pages anyway, I'm not worried.

the military is just a bunch of 18-50 year old adults acting like high schoolers and in charge of millions of dollars worth of equipment. it's awesome.

Trust me, I'm aware. I like to think of it as everyone gets to play with their own Lego set that is worth more than any sort of money they'll ever know, and for some reason, we're seen as "professionals"

A couple weeks ago the Air Boss came down to the museum here at Pcola and told everyone there are over 500 aviators too many in the program and he was looking for any excuse to attrite people. What that means for boards idk. Part of me thinks there are always “too many people” and they just say stuff like that to scare us. What is true though is that they’ve been making NIFE more and more strict.
