01JULY2026 ISEL Board

Hey! Has anyone received any confirmation about being approved for the ISEL board last month? Or even gotten an OCS date yet?

My recruiter is very bad with communication. Had to go to another recruiter to even find out my package was submitted for the July ISEL board. Planning to reach out to this recruiter again to see if there is any update to my package.

Are you an SNA applicant? If so, I don't believe there was an I-SEL board last month. The last one happened sometime in May, and the next one will happen when the OCM deems there's sufficient need. They're not scheduled like regular boards. Your best bet is always to ask your recruiter. You could also ask on the thread for the November board. Looking at the sheet, there are a couple of other I-SEL applicants marked AT-BOARD, so you're not the only one waiting.

If SNA is pilot, then yes. Like I said my recruiter is not a good one. Anytime I ask he says along the line of, “we just have to wait” or “I got you”. Nothing about details that he does know.

So I what you’re saying is that my packet may have been submitted but won’t be looked at until the Navy decides to have a board to take ISEL applicants? Basically in a limbo phase?

More or less. It'll go through a QA and board review process, but the OCM won't look at it or give you a PRO-REC Y until the Navy needs you.

This would have been good to know back in May when I graduated so I’d have a plan instead of being left in the unknown. Thank you!! Much more help than my recruiter

When you submitted your recruiter may not have been aware.

There isn't a specific ISEL board, the OCM can review and process at anytime they choose. The whole premise of ISEL is to have people that can ship out right away, if there isn't that need there is no reason for the OCM to process right away. When the program first started it was working as designed and the OCM's were reviewing frequently.

The other thing is there is a QA review by the OCM, there are certain things they will reject you for ISEL, the biggest one is experimental use of MJ.

I-SEL doesn’t have set board dates - it’s not even a board. Not really sure why this post was created.

Based on the needs of the Navy now, when do you think is a safe bet that I will attend ocs? (Don’t have anything that would disqualify me)
Asking because I graduated with a meche degree and thinking about getting a degree based job if ocs is about a year out.

You can search the previous aviation boards to see where folks are getting classed. I would encourage getting a job anyway to ensure you have a backup.

Just be aware you are under no obligation to tell anyone you interview with that you have submitted an application to the USN, some people for whatever reason feel that need. If you were interviewing with FB you wouldn't tell them you were interviewing at Boeing, Amazon, Google, etc.
