    No F'ing way!!

I just called to ask a random question, just to talk to my OSO, he wasn't the but his secretary was and she told me I needed to sign something else, I'm glad I called. It's always good to just shoot the bull with them, it will relax you alot.

    No F'ing way!!

Well I think we are talking about two different things, the first thing is I would adventure to say that you are applying for OCS, because you already have your degree, I applied for BDCP, (Baccalorette (sp) Degree Completion Program, which is a program for people who are two-three years away...

    No F'ing way!!

I just got done resigning an updated ESPQ, my OSO told me that the board has approved me for final select (past pro-rec) and they are waiting on the new ESPQ for explainations on them. He said that I should swear in within the next week, and if I get my paperwork processesed so I can start...

so how long does it take?

Nothing happened I just had to resend in a copy with "explaination", I got my name changed because I was adopted, and a medical bill that was over 90 days. They new about it on my application, they just wanted it on my EPSQ from what my OSO told me.
  8. Kycntryboy

    BDCP Timeline?

It also depends on what particular part of the Navy you are trying to get into.

    Pro Rec Non-Select

Supposively, I have to go to my OSO office (~about 2 hrs. away) and sign an explanation onto my EPSQ (Hospital Bill) and send that off… again. Then we will hear back “right away”, with in a day or two. I am going to see if I can do it today instead of Friday.

    SNA + NFO = question

Are SNA's and NFO's selected in the same community (board)? Because I'm wondering if all of us waiting right now are going to hear back around the same time.

    This is F***ed up

I was clinching my fist when I was heard it yesterday. It made me want to get into my plane and bomb the *&#$ out of them. Damn Sunni's. They got everything when Saddam was in power and there not used to not being spoiled.

    Grrrrrrr Body Fat!

I had a simular problem, with wieght I was 16 pounds over the max (208) for my height (6'1), I had a good bf at. The quick solution is to do situps, for all sides. Then do neck exercises to get your neck thicker.
  22. Kycntryboy

    No F'ing way!!

I had to send in an explaination, or rather proof of why my name got changed (adopted by my stepdad). That was about it, I also had to do a depth perception test. Cheers cyrsmc.
  23. Kycntryboy

    No F'ing way!!

Nope still haven't it has been two weeks today I had to send in one explaination so far, so I know they have looked at it, that was within the first week though.

too much fun over spring break...

I do got a question about that I know that in least my case my background check isn't being performed until after final-sec. What would happen if they ever found out about something after that (my OSO told me it costs $3,000 to do it)? P.S. your advice does sound a lot better than mine, my...

    run question

I would say just keeping getting your mileage, and start competiting against yourself and the clock, if you want it bad enough you'll be able to bear the pain.

    Nami Wammy

My OSO told me that if don't pass API or I would assume don't pass NAMI, that I would be discharged because in his words "there is already to many officers in the Navy.

Do they not have the option of using an ACT score?
  30. Kycntryboy

    run question

Sure there is, thats a difference of 40 seconds each mile. However I would say in my unprofessional opinion that it matters how much you were running before that 23 minute 3-mile, and what kind of body stature you have. Some people are just naturally better runners than others.
  31. Kycntryboy

too much fun over spring break...

Keep your mouth shut, it may sound bad, but let them find out something and then you explain. Then to shed light on something they would have not found out about. You can always say you "didn't recall" it. gl
  32. Kycntryboy

    Gpa?

Minimum is a 2.7, however to be "competitive" I would say over a 3.3 at least. Engineering students get more of a break than regular degrees.

I hope UAB wins it that way UK doesn't look so ridiculous, if they lose next round to Kansas (which I know they will) will look like a bunch ... can't really think of anything...But we will look like something! lol

One of the greatest things I've read (and I hate reading)

I would make it less dense (the more dense something is the more bouyant you are on in, i.e. your not bouyant in air because the molecules are to far apart, you are more bouyant in salt water than in fresh, because there is more crap in salt water) also that would create a huge high pressure column.

    Am I F*&$'D

If your a senior I would say you are royally, however if you are a junior, and you get a 4.0 this semester whose to say you couldn't write an explaination telling them that you "grew up" and "starting adhering to your responsibilities" if you would apply after this semester closes. Just a thought.

The ARCO book is good with this, because in the back of the book it explains how each problem is worked out, and is well worth the price.
