And I have heard and seen the opposite. I talked with my advisor back when I picked up a scholarship, and my major (tier 1) played a big role. I wasn't an incoming student. The LT I have been working with tells everyone that tier matters (including potential xfer mids).

cmhumphr, AS is in the 2nd Tier of Majors. I have done a little bit of recuriting work, and Tier 1 is basically all your engineering majors. But AS is still technical to be a tier 2. From what I have heard, as long as you steer clear of the tier 3's you can make yourself competitive.

So if my goal is to get through IFS to API as quickly as possible, I want to be all checked in before the academy guys? Or will that not nessesarily help me?
