    Jet questions

There are a couple more flights that you guys don't have, that I know. The MCG says it's about a 12 month program. You guys just double-pump the crap out of yourselves down there to do it in 9 (well, not you anymore, since you're a Prowler guy now...) Krock also has better weather. Yep, I...

For those who are voluntold or are going to volunteer for Vance AFB flight training!

Interesting. See, Whiting Field may have 6000 foot runways, but they are effectively 3000 feet long due to split-field ops. At the end of that 3000 feet is usually an aircraft or a section getting ready to takeoff.

For those who are voluntold or are going to volunteer for Vance AFB flight training!

Can you stop in under 3000 without getting a hot brake problem? I only ask cause the main issue of no beta deals with Whiting field operations and its OLFs. Do you guys regularly stop in less than 3000? Less than 2000? I'm curious.

That's why man created Anti-Skid. The T-6A also has much more power than the T-34C.

To supplement this, some slats are pilot controlled. The T-45 slats come out when you put the flaps down. They come back up when you put the flaps up.

I've been busy dropping bombs, thank you very much.

Hey, Digital TS isn't supposed to be finished in 9 months. I should wing right about 12-13 months. The point being the 2 year wingers no longer exist. Krock guys are like 9 guys, they have no friggin clue cause they're all getting out-of-date gouge. Not their fault really, it's perpetuated by...

Moron Kingsville guys. Sorry to say Blacky, but that problem is long gone... or more like shifted to VT-9.
  15. Fly Navy

    How low can you go?

When you're that low, radar can't see you as far out and neither can the human eye. It lets you get closer to your intended target without them detecting you. If they can't see you, they can't shoot you.

Reading comprehension, theduke, reading comprehension. Go back and read it again.

Get below radar and lessen your visual range.

That's a pretty decent FAR violation.

Not by a whole lot... and nowhere NEAR that fast... damn that was crazy.

    DJETS? What is involved?

Yeah. There is no parachute ride in the DJET.

The parachute ride is behind a Ford F-150.

    DJETS? What is involved?

There is no dilbert dunker. You do the parachute drag and helo hoist again, with the jet flight gear (torso harness and SV-2, I don't think they give you a G-suit for that survival stuff, though you are issued one).

Asian alies say US can't defeat China

Precisely. There are things the Marines are very well suited for and are absolutely experts on. And there are things the Marines couldn't ever hope to do that the Army is built for.

Yep, every two terms (WPI is a 4-term school, very odd, and makes for a LIGHTNING fast learning pace) you'd get a check cut for the equivalence of your room and board if you were living off-campus. AWESOME deal if you score a good apartment and have a roommate(s). I banked bigtime. Yup, WPI...

  45. Fly Navy

My husband will be putting in a package for Navy Officer

Yes, I got what you meant. And I'm not trying to play "fvck with the Marine" by saying all Marines are part of the Navy. I just didn't want you to confuse an obvious newcomer with the terminology. They are one in the same... and they are different. Maybe I was too snide, sorry.

Check yourself. NAVAL = Navy AND Marine Corps. Did they not teach you that? ALL Marine Aviators are NAVAL Aviators. The NAVAL SERVICES are the Navy and the Marine Corps. Yes it is common to say Naval Officer for Navy and Marine Officer for Marine. But they are actually one in the same.
