You can apply for PLC your freshman year. However, as a frosh or sophomore you'll have to do two 6 week OCS classes for the Marine path. The benifit is you'll have a lot more time to work out all the hurdles that will inevitably show up. You could wait and do one 10 week OCS class your junior...
