Why I use it for OPRs (the AF version of FITREPs) is because we have to have blocks filled to a character limit +-3. So I feed AI my narrative and tell it to say the same thing but in the max characters for the box including spaces. In the AF if you don't fill the box exactly, you're wrong.

Gemini is a great tool to "organize your thoughts" and "further your understanding" of the topics you have to write papers on in command and staff college. It also writes OPRs/FITREPS really well. And helps me write game reports for my hockey games.

I remember being told that the T-34s had ashtrays at one point. Never saw one though. The stories of from my dad's era he told me of old guys flying Thuds in Vietnam and smoking while on 100% O2 seemed crazy to me. But they were serious enough that I believe them. I mean, everyone smoked back then.

The A-10 really needs to go to the boneyard though. The A-10 lore is becoming worse than the F-14 lore. It's an airplane I'd love to fly and take to the range, but not to combat.

In the Air Force everything is a "jet", even the prop airplanes. Yes, we have people who will say they are "stepping to the jet" when they're walking to a T-6, or a C-130. It's super cringy to me.
