Do what YOU want to do. Not what your parents want you to do. There have been many times my parents have talked to me to be a civilian and they will pay for college, etc. I just want to become an officer in the USMC and I see a scholarship as an added bonus.

https://www.nrotc.navy.mil/scholarship_criteria.asp Check out the tier 1, 2 and 3 majors. I think choosing a tier 1 will help you, even in the Marine Option. But dont take tier one if you hate engineering :icon_tong

Yeah, I didnt think they would send them to a SCUBA course. But what if they are doing a SCUBA entry and need an FAC?

Made me think... If you pick up a billet to be a FAC, can you opt to be a FAC for a recon battalion? Or is it the needs of the Corps? Also, you get the same training as the other recon Marines?

What if you earn it as enlisted and then become a pilot as an officer? Can you wear Combat Aircrew badge and your Wings? Also, if you were a Recon Marine while enlisted and became a pilot as an officer can you where the jump wings and combatant diver you earned in Recon training with your Wings?
