Too much for ABC, NBC, CBS

Oh yeah: That "blank sign," I don't think is supposed to be a sign. It looks like some sort of school supply (maybe paperboard or something?). It would be hard to digitally alter that photograph because of the sun streaks that go across the "sign."

Too much for ABC, NBC, CBS

The media has failed 100% to report on any of the huge Anti-Terror rallies that have occured in downtown Baghdad. They have also failed, for the most part, to report on ANY of the positives coming out of Iraq. There are quite a few blogs out there written by Iraqi's that tell a slightly...

    BDU tips and tricks

There are a lot of little tricks you can do. When you starch, run the iron over the fabric first to heat it up, so the starch soaks in. Then rub your hand over the area to spread out the remaining starch. This prevents your cammies from becoming shiny. (So it's Iron, Starch, Smooth, Iron)...

    Fy '04 Mishaps

Force Recon is not in SOCOM. "Detachment 1" is the name of the group that is starting to work with them, and is considering becoming part of the "SOCOM Community." Right now Force Recon is considered a Tier III asset (Sometimes Tier II as I understand it, I am not an 0321 so I don't know all...

    Fy '04 Mishaps

I looked on google for about 30 minutes trying to find the FY04 Mishaps by Class and Aircraft. I remember they used to always have that info on the back cover of Naval Safety Magazines. Anyway, as I recall, (at least in the R/W community) UH-1N's always had the most accidents, with CH-46's...

Does this not piss you off?!

    1. Support of Israel: If we are not allowed to pick and choose our own allies, is that true freedom? Do we need to clear who we lend our "unqualified support" to through global channels? Perhaps the UN should create a committee to let us know who we should and shouldn't be supporting. 2...

    Let's talk about reputation points

Simple solution: Names on Rep Points for some, miniature American flags for others. Proving once again that the Simpsons is able to solve all of lifes little problems.

www.military.com has forums with a "wannabee" section. It is more of an enlisted place, but there are a few officers/officer wannabees there.

Does this not piss you off?!

The Vilnius letter. Good stuff. I think we are going to see an interesting, cultural divide seperate Europe far more sharply than the Berlin Wall and the Warsaw Pact ever could. BTW, The Baltics are seeing more GDP growth than France in some places, and more business competitiveness than...

Half the people in this thread are talking about DOR from Flight Training Half are talking about DOR from OCS Can't imagine DORing from OCS after putting in so much work to get there in the first place.

Does this not piss you off?!

Good points all. The idea that we should have removed Saddam and left is a little suspect I think. The ensuing instability would have had a dramatic impact on that region. It was already said, but picture all the weapons and ammunition that are currently being used by insurgents in Iraq...

Does this not piss you off?!

Has a policy of appeasment for the last 20 years resulted in anything different? At some point you have to take a hard stand and do what is right; sorry, but we can't turn a blind eye - hoping that they will go away - forever I think you need to reread your history books. I will break down...

    DOR POLICY FOR USMC OCS

My mistake, I thought I read something awhile ago that said if you DOR from flight training your subsequent MOS is determined by the TBS openings, or something to that effect. Guess I need to adjust my BZO!

    New cammies/boots

I had to order mine through the mail. http://www.usmc-mccs.org/uniforms/index.htm is the official online uniform store Took about 3-4 weeks to get mine, but mail is slow in my part of the world, so I am sure it would be alot faster in CONUS.

    Training for the PFT

I do that same method (helps to increase your pace because you can concentrate on your breathing instead of your legs)...but I guess I am doing it wrong: I do it on my left foot :icon_tong Oh yeah, IMO that is a good way to run, but at first you may only be able to breath that fast/hard...
