    Leg training and running

    What is your fitness goal/purpose for leg lifts? If it's to become a better/faster runner, you can do some lunges or squats with light weights on your run days right after the runs. The key, as has been pointed out, is not to overdo it. You need your legs to be functional two days from now...

    BDCP= no subs??

    The NUPOC is a BDCP program, but it does have different requirements and benefits. For starters, it has a $15,000 bonus, and you get E-6 pay until you commission. This is in contrast to other BDCP programs that have no bonus and E-3 pay until you commission. Of course, the extra...

    More Upcoming Uniform Changes

    It's likely that the NWU is here to stay for a while. Big Navy seems to be promoting the uniform as the best thing since sliced bread. However, if you don't find yourself wearing wash khakis on any sort of normal basis, you can probably get away with not having the NWU. As far as comfort...

    Faster processor than what? Longer battery life than what? I didn't know what your point was because, after re-reading my prior post about 3 more times, I couldn't find anywhere that I detailed exact battery life numbers corresponding to hardware specs. I simply stated a fact that higher...

    Need some laptop suggestions

    Thirded about ASUS. Bought one last year off of www.newegg.com and love it. Buying a PC is not just a matter of picking a brand. Not all ASUS laptops are created equal, and the same goes for every other brand as well. You have to take note of what hardware is inside the PC/laptop, and that does...

    Really stupid questions about life as a SWO and anything else not aviation related [mod dog wuz hərə]

    You don't need officers to give you an LOR to get accepted. In fact, many people are accepted into OCS without any military references at all. The important thing is to get letters from people who know you well and can write well. On top of that, you'd need a letter from a senior officer for it...

    The Russians have done it again

    It's not so much an economic issue as it is a cultural issue. To the Russians, we are all part of a giant "rat race" scrambling to get a piece of the big cheese. To Americans, the Russian general Russian attitude seems like a lazy, fatalistic approach to life. However, our individualism and...

    No, it's not. It depends on where the previous class is in the training cycle. If they are in the middle of, say, moboards, then you will have to roll at least 2 weeks back to begin the class from day 1, even if there is a class that is 1 week behind. Same thing will happen if you fail two...

    After indoc week, you will have time to hygiene everyday sometime between 2030-2200. If that's not good enough, you can always shower between taps and reveille. Some people did this voluntarily just so they didn't have to deal with the rush. If you're referring to that "special" day, then...

    Huh? Yes, when another country has Americans captive, it's probably a good idea to find a way to free them. Strictly speaking from a monetary sense, the risk: reward for buying insurance makes no logical sense. Military Health Care in OCS

    The DIs do give a damn, even if they try to pretend not to. But I do agree that the class CPO is the one who typically handles these matters. When people say not to stand out, it means not to stand out in a bad way. Wanting to make sure that your wife is properly taken care of will not make...
