FY 18 IWC DCO BOARD

Making Recruiting Great Again
First time poster. I found this forum a few months ago, but too late to help with my application with the 2017 board. I have one question that neither my OR nor the interviewers were able to answer. I'm a prior Naval Officer, but with a different designator (looking to apply for Intel or CW). I've been out several years now. They could not answer if I would come in at my prior rank or if I would start all over at O-1. Does anyone have a clue on how that works?

Wait, are you working with a NAVET or regular NRD recruiter?

Not much as changed on your/applicant's end. By the way, do you have a master's degree?
I do not have a master's degree. I am in the process of enrolling in my Master of Cyber and IA, just waiting on the approval letter.

Anyone know of a publicly available place to download a copy of the IWC/DCO Program Authorization? If my searches have it right, PA 231, right?

I've found the doc available for other communities ie., HR, just not for IWC...

Good luck trying to get accepted. Boards have put out that they want masters degrees. Exceptional applicants who have only a bachelors might have a chance.

Thanks. I have 16 experience in the IC, leadership roles several deployments to IZ and AF as well as the certs desired. I feel I am competitive but I am always looking to get better.

The nice thing with DCO is you can continue to improve as civilian experience is very important.

All - Been a while since I checked into this message board. Best of luck to all of you waiting to hear back!

I'm getting ready to Mob next month, and clearing out my gear I found a bunch of O1 uniform pieces (hard boards, soft boards, some pin devices). Probably a hundred bucks worth of stuff (those hard boards are expensive!) but will happily pass it down to a new selectee for free if anyone wants them. Just pay for USPS. I'm an 1835 but will pass to any newly selected O.

Best of luck to everyone waiting, congratulations to everyone selected, and keep up the good fight to everyone who doesnt make it this time.
