Colombian Prostitutes - Good Times or Career Enders?

I would argue is that the image you are referring to has changed as a function of that PC "conspiracy".

Case in point, Anchors Aweigh talks about drinking "to the foam". Now we have "Right Spirit".

I also remember the stories my grandfather, who was on the Maryland during Pearl Harbor, talking about going overseas and the shenanigans they pulled with the women in port. He was an enlisted gunner but the officers on the boat were right there. Now we have incidents like this getting blown to bits.

What I'm saying is that this image you are referring to has in fact changed due to the uber-PC nature of society. Saying it hasn't is ignoring the reality of what has happened.
My dad has some hilarious stories about drinking and driving, getting caught by the police, and then let off with nothing more then a disapproving shake of the head. His stories do nothing to change the fact that the world has moved on and I can't get away with behavior like that anymore.

I think all issues like this have more to do with "going against the family" then they do morality. Big Navy may like to take what they consider the high ground for the Navy's purposes to include public image of the service. Big Navy is going to protect Big Navy first. Your personal beliefs may say its ok for you to use peyote, fuck hookers, go to clan meetings, beat your wife, drink and drive, or engage in consensual S&M sex. Just don't be surprised when these become public knowledge and the Navy doesn't condone your behavior and instead publically flogs you.

I'm wondering if the media is attaching to the whole prostitute issue when the heart of it is like what OnTopTime is saying. Those in sensitive positions with clearances can't put themselves in compromising situations because it could lead to them compromising information. Blackmail is very serious and can make people who are normally solid do dangerous things.

Yeah Brett, we understand. Ever since the Navy sent you to school for your degree, you're smarter than the rest of us. Here's a critically nuanced yet intellectually lazy thought - go fuck your elitist self.
Yeah, God forbid we be smart about anything. What a horrible standard to aspire to.

As I clicked from pg 3 to pg 4, I just noticed that the thread title changed from Columbian Prostitutes to Colombian Prostitutes. So much for my witty joke about a possible second scandal in either B.C. or D.C.

Back to the debate...

Bill Clinton was married, in a position of authority and was susceptible to potential extortion. His side ensured nothing bad happened to him and he continued in his job if memory serves. And his supporters are the PC police. Go figure.

I find it amusing that this thread has auto generated an ad telling me I can get a free trial to chat with Russian women*.

Well, he was impeached (although not convicted), which I'm pretty sure he considered to be a "bad" thing. "High crimes and misdemeanors" is not a well-defined term. Other than vote him out of office, which wasn't going to happen anyway because he wasn't eligible for reelection, there wasn't much else to do. Of course, his legacy took a huge hit, as well it should, which is maybe the worst thing of all as far as Bill is concerned.

Maybe his wife and his Cabinet felt it was a bad thing when he lied to them.......but no one left him. The Democratic establishment rallied behind him to trash Ken Starr and the impeachment proceedings and his approvall numbers went up. As for bad behavoir in high profile positions........it's a new age folks, your are always being watched and most likely recorded and you must adjust your behavior accordingly.

Far better looking than what I expected. Somebody alluded to this earlier, but the moral of the story is definitely to pay your hookers.

The talent down there is pretty impressive. I didn't see as much of it while in Cartegena, but the girls in Panama (who were Colombian and "exported" up to Panama to work in the local places) are smokin'...until they hit 28-30. Then they blow up.
