Sweet, welcome! I went to Chico State, and have some friends from/in the Davis/greater Sac area. Congrats on the selection– what made you choose SWO over NFO?
Mainly I just liked the idea of being on the ship and the overall job description of a SWO, and part of it was that I have no guarantee of what type of plane I would be in, and I really don't want to be attached to land based planes stationed at somewhere like Lemoore. I want to be by the water and that's guaranteed for SWO

Yup, I imagine SWOs get no shortage of water. Sounds reasonable, though. No vision for pilot? Looks like you nailed the astb-e.

My depth perception wasn't good enough, other than that I had 20/20. As for the ASTB I was pleasantly surprised by my performance. It didn't feel that good when I was taking it.

Nice, I went back and forth for SWO/SNA with some vision confusion on my processor's end but it all worked out.

I will be getting my wisdom teeth pulled during week 9 at ocs. They do this service for you. Anybody else doing the same?
How did you schedule your wisdom teeth being removed? Something they'll let you know? Still got mine in, they don't seem to be a problem but I guess they decide that?

More than likely, they will inform you during a visit to dental. I got mine pulled in basic and had no say about it. Keep your sewing needles near in case y'all start eating some rice, as the grains will inevitably get stuck down inside of your craters (they did not sew up my holes).

Does anyone have the Chain of command filled out as much as possible? Also, I see some chain of commands online that include the VP. Some that don't. The one I got from the OCS website does not.

Better to know it and not need to than need to and not know it.
Right, except that the numbering would be off. If the DI asks for the 14th chain of command. Is that the VP or the secretary of defense? This is why I want to make sure I have the correct list.

I would say go with the longer one and if he asks you for 14, just say "Sir, the 14th person in this IC/OC/CO's CoC is the Vice President, the honorable Joe Biden". You may still get chewed out for getting it wrong but you can at least explain why you got it wrong.
