It's been a long time coming but finally checking out for 29 JAN class... Hope everyone receives their class dates soon

Late to the party but checking in from Nov SNA/NFO board...Excited to meet everyone!

As with most universities. But when the board calculates your GPA they take all of your college credit points divided by total credits. So if you had the same amount of credits for both schools with 3.0 and 4.0 GPA's.... your GPA would equal 3.5 for the board.

Checking in from November SNA/NFO board. I am age critical needing a OCS class in January.

Since I have to be in an OCS class by Feb. 1 since I am a non-prior age critical applicant, is it even possible for me to still make a class?

Same here...NRD says I'm not listed as either but can see I'm there...Called my OR and he says I wasn't reviewed for the board because he couldn't see me as a select. Not sure what's going on lol

That is exactly why I think it is taking so long. The # of kits submitted did not meet the threshold for the board to convene. They probably pushed it back a week or more so that they could get more in.

Don't worry we probably won't get results by then anyways at this rate.

I am in the same boat except birthday is in May. From what I'm told age critical and not having any college left helps speed things up. Hopefully, the budget restrictions coming up will not have any effect on the processing of selects for these types of situations.

I submitted my kit by the deadline but still have not heard back that it is cleared for the board. Anyone else in the same boat?

Sounds very similar to my communication with the OR. I also am not questioning the deadline but just wanted to communicate what I heard.

Rufio or anyone else, I would appreciate some clarity given what I just heard from my OR. Processor is mailing my kit to NRD today. When I called he said not to stress on the deadline and that there is no "hard" deadline for this board. He even said there was no set board date and that kits can...

Weird. Those are my exact scores... OP: I have noticed in the past some applicants getting in with similar GPA but retake the ASTB and do much better and have other community involvement, clubs, etc get PRO REC Y. I think they are looking for the whole person concept. Don't consider my scores...

Just finished MEPs yesterday and got PDQ'ed on the very last excercise of the last step in the process. It was a MEP's civilian doc who wasn't in the best of moods. She told me to leave my socks off then analyzed my foot and told me I had athlete's foot. Normally they would temp PQ me but since...

I definitely want to make this board. I recently saw they have halted SWO boards because they accepted too many applicants. I know slots vary with SNA/NFO boards but can they (or is it realistic that they could) cancel the August/September board all together if we miss this one?

In a similar situation. I have MEPs this Friday which gives me only 7 days until the 22nd. Everything else in my packet is complete and my OR said it usually only takes 2-3 days for results (bloodwork etc) to come back.

Once you finish MEPS and they say your clear to serve before any tests, can someone submit their packet to the OCS board (assuming everything else is completed)? I have a week from my MEPS date to kit due date for the board. How long do the blood tests take and will they hinder someone from...

What would a rough estimate on the amount of people who are selected per board?

Not sure about the ASTB part but if you cannot make it to this board the next one is available. I am in a similar situation as I turn 27 in May. Assuming the board convenes in August you would be marked as "age critical" and then if selected, put into the earliest possible OCS class that can...
