I actually wondered a while ago after the death of Congressman Lewis...but yeah, the gun salutes are what peaked my attention, although I assume they would be performed by the Army in the DC area, if at all. Maybe at the Arlington internment?

Correct they are - there's a message that attributes the current half-masting to her death. Mentioned it's in effect until her interment. No one's shooting guns off...
