my 2nd favorite ride during my career, bested only by the 80s square crown vics. There are less and less of those in our fleet, almost all having been replaced by the Dodge Charger.

But, I think if I had yours, it would be in the garage for the next few months. Either that, or I would put the most anti police bumper sticker on it that I could find.
Yeppers...there are still a few P71s rolling around in the Cincinnati Police fleet...seems like most of the vehicles are now Ford Explorers.

I hear you regarding keeping a low profile with my P71...I park it in our driveway which is fairly out of view from the street. I’d park it in the garage with my Mustang but I have a fleet of bicycles parked in there...no room for my P71. I don’t have an anti police bumper sticker but I do have an anti Air Force/anti Army/anti Marine Corps/anti Puddle Pirate bumper sticker. I’m not a big bumper sticker dude but I was rear ended in a Dunkin’ Donuts drive thru several months ago...the Fly Navy bumper sticker is covering the damage from that ACDA event...

They did not produce police package Chargers this year due the Covidian era, and having to change transmission suppliers. The current transmissions are very unreliable. We are getting the Ford Explorers instead, which will be a new thing for us, as we have never had patrol SUVs.

I'd love to have an old P71 Crown, but would never spend my money on a Charger.

Ummm...I’m sorry to report that it’s a Crown Vic [Police Interceptor/P71]...minus the tinted windows. It’s a 2007 with a base police package. I purchased it new from a Ford fleet dealership in 2007 and it’s my daily driver. It has some minor performance modifications which include Ford Racing 3.73 gears, a Ford Racing Trac-Lok LSD and a 15HP Superchips tune...

We'll give you a pass since you dressed her up a bit under the hood.

Love the NDSM plates, brother.

I guess you went with that one over this one?

When my son started racing he had to attend a driving school. After the classroom they took guys out in a P71 Crown Vic. Great tires and a little suspension work were the only mods. It was, of course, to make a point about technique over equipment. They set times in the CV lots of guys could not beat with their fancy performance imports and highly tuned classics.

One of my (take 2) RAG classmates got his old car totaled and ended up buying an old crown vic. We joked about how long it was going to take him to be "that guy" and start pulling up behind folks on the freeway to see if they'd slow down and move over.

That’s a Speedmaster Automatic [reduced], right?

Good to hear Omega got it squared away for you. :)

Yep- Took them from Jan to June to do it with them being shut down and 1 AMU but worth it. I have one other one with a metal band that is worn out and I know the band alone will be expensive. Looking for someplace other than Omega to send it to. I'd rather spend the money flying.
