Navy Pilot age limit for prior service

Hi, I hope this is the correct thread for this. I have a quick question about the age limit for navy pilot.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the max age for becoming a student naval aviator has recently been bumped up to 32? Also, I had been told in the past that they will waive the age limit for prior service applicants, waiving one year of age for every year you spent on active duty, up to four years? Is this still the case? I am currently 25, turning 26 in July but I'm an active duty Air Force officer with three years of service behind me and one to go.

The wording of the PA says commissioned by your 32nd birthday, but it is waiverable. I cannot speak as to how far out they will give waivers for it, but I personally have an age waiver approved and I am 32 right now going up for the May 25th board. Now will they look at it a throw my package aside immediately I don't know....but its approved.

Remember, a waiver enables you to be seen by the board, it doesn't mean the board will overlook what the waiver was for and give a pro Y, this is for any type of waiver.

Just to clarify, an age waiver is no longer required if you are under age 32, correct? The OPNAVINST 1420.1B still hasn't been updated to reflect the Program Authorization, so it obviously still has the old info. I just want to be certain that as a 28 year old I will not be required to obtain an age waiver.
